You need a lot of equipment to dive. This can be either a source of enjoyment or frustration. Experienced divers will tell you that having the right equipment greatly enhances your diving enjoyment.
The next question becomes: What's the right equipment?
You can set some fairly broad parameters, but there is no simple answer. First, it must be safe. It has to work well enough to support you and your buddy in foreseeable emergency situations. Secondly, it has to assist with your diving activities; be they hunting, sightseeing, photography, or something else.
